VDM Application Compatibility and Exclusion Options

Compatibility and Exclusion

Virtual Display Manager (VDM) offers runtime application exclusion, allowing specific applications to bypass VDM control when needed. This can be achieved via the `Ctrl+Alt` key combination while maximizing a window, or through VDM’s configuration for persistent exclusion during the application’s runtime.

In certain scenarios, such as video games with advanced memory protection that permit only whitelisted applications during a session, driver-level exclusion becomes necessary. To address this, VDM provides a utility enabling driver-level exclusions.

Key Features

  • Manual Input: Add the executable name of the application to exclude.
  • Built-in Finder: Easily locate and select the executable.
  • Administrative Privileges: Required to apply changes.
  • Reboot Requirement: A system restart is necessary for the changes to take effect.
